David Bright appointed Managing Director of BMT Hi-Q Sigma Ltd

BMT Hi-Q Sigma Ltd, a subsidiary of BMT Group Ltd, the leading international maritime design, engineering and risk management consultancy, is pleased to confirm the appointment of David Bright as Managing Director.
David has been with the company since 2001, a Director of Operations at BMT Sigma since 2003 and a member of its Board since 2005. He was instrumental in the formation of BMT Hi-Q Sigma in October 2009. During his time in the BMT group David has played a key role in driving business improvement programmes. These have delivered improvements to business alignment and information management leading to enhanced decision making.
David's experience of working with clients on complex programmes is extensive. He has delivered project governance, controls and assurance improvements across many sectors including defence, the security services and civil nuclear decommissioning. In particular, he was responsible for developing and advising on the partnering and project control approaches which were credited by the National Audit Office in laying the baseline for the ‘Gold Standard' refit of HMS Illustrious at Rosyth. Additionally, he is an experienced project review facilitator and chairman, having conducted project reviews in a range of project control environments both nationally and internationally.
David is frequently asked to present at conferences on project governance, controls and assurance and is an integral member of the Project and Programme Assurance and the Project Governance Specific Interest Groups of the Association for Project Management (APM). For the past 2 years he has been the ‘Stakeholders and Sponsorship' track chairman at the Annual APM Conference.
